What do you call someone who wears you out every day?

We regularly receive updates about our partner International Justice Mission Netherlands' work. This time, we're talking about a remarkable, strong woman in India. Her name is Thaiyamma.

What do you call someone who wears you down every day and shatters all your dreams?

Thaiyamma called her boss simply 'the Beast'.

She couldn't have described him better. For years, she worked as a slave in his logging company to pay off a loan of about 15 euros.
Even when Thaiyamma became pregnant, she had to continue working. "We lived like zombies," she said. Until the day IJM, in collaboration with local authorities, rescued her.
